Fuhrländer launches new 2.5 MW wind turbine design
1 September 2005
One of the smaller German wind turbine manufacturers, Fuhrländer, is this month launching a new 2.5 MW turbine family with rotor diameters ranging from 90 to 100 metres. The machine will be available with a hub height up to 160 metres. It will be equipped to use an on-board crane and lift system. Not only will this be used for installation, but also for the exchange of major components, such as the generator, gearbox or blades. The crane and lift system are not permanentally installed on the turbine.
