Last year's agreement between the electricity distribution companies, represented by EnergieNed, and Pawex, the association of private and co-operative wind turbine owners, has led to futher disputes between the two parties. The distribution companies are refusing to pay to turbine owners the so-called ecotax, introduced in January of this year. Wind turbine owners with long term contracts claim the ecotax of three cents a kilowatt is due to them on top of their contracts. Economic affairs minister Hans Wijers has promised to look into the matter.
