Swiss EnergyMixx seeks non recourse finance

Energymixx, a Swiss renewable energy company focused on the Italian market, has hired Deutsche Bank to arrange and syndicate at least w500 million in non-recourse project finance senior debt. "Projects will be financed on a project by project basis," says Alexander Jonesco of Energymixx, "But there's a firm intention to spend at least EUR 500 million." Deutsche Bank will have the right of first refusal on financing individual projects. Energymixx says the financing will be used for about 200 MW of wind energy projects in Italy as well as 105 MW of solar photovoltaic projects in the country. Construction of the projects financed will begin in the first quarter of 2009 and should be completed by 2011.
