Ventis Energietechnik intends to install its prototype 500 kW wind turbine at the DEWI testfield in Wilhelmshaven early this month, with completion of the measuring and test phase expected within three months so the machine can go on the market. The company has moved into a rapid growth period. Last year in Germany it installed just six 100 kW machines, but in 1995 at least 20, 100 kW units will go in the ground together with 40, of the 500 kW model.
