Ecotricity unveils plans for 18 MW in Lincolnshire

Plans for 30 Enercon wind turbines in two wind projects in the East Lindsey area of Lincolnshire in eastern England have been unveiled by green electricity company Ecotricity. The largest proposed development of 22 turbines totalling 13.2 MW is at Fen Farm, a rural site near Conisholme. The smaller project of eight wind turbines, is adjacent to the company's existing two turbines at Mablethorpe and will increase the small wind plant's output to 6 MW. The projects will help meet demand from Ecotricity's business customers who have opted to buy green power, and its anticipated growth in green power supply to domestic customers. Ecotricity's Dale Vince says: "Our philosophy has always been to build new sources of green electricity and the East Lindsey wind park would be a great leap forward in achieving this."
