The 20,000 MW mark has now been passed, with over 1300 MW of wind plant added to the world total in the past three months. It looks as though the annual growth rate might even be slightly higher than last year's plus 30%. Germany is still powering ahead as clear market leader, followed by the United States which has added nearly 200 MW since June, with capacity growth set to accelerate rapidly. Elsewhere, additional capacity was recorded in around 50% of the countries.
