Southern prefecture calls for 11 MW of wind plant

The government of Japan's southernmost prefecture, Okinawa, is calling for bids to construct 11 MW of wind plant on the island by the end of the 2009 financial year. The project will increase the province's wind capacity to 26 MW. The winning tender was due to be announced at the end of August.
