EDON, the electricity distribution company for the northeast Netherlands, is planning a 25 MW wind farm near the village of Creil in the Noordoostpolder of Flevoland. The project is to be developed in co-operation with a group of local farmers. It will be sited behind the Noorderzeedyke that separates the polder from the IJsselmeer. At the moment the plans are being reviewed by Flevoland's provincial government. Under discussion is the wind farm's layout and whether it should be developed as a double or single row of turbines.
