US REMAINS THE LARGEST SINGLE MARKET

Vestas reports that as of last month there were 4628 of the company's wind turbines operating worldwide with an installed capacity of 691 MW. The United States remains the largest single market for Vestas where 2657 turbines are installed with a combined installed capacity of nearly 307 MW. A total of 171 Vestas 500 kW turbines are now operating in five countries, including 34 in the US, 17 in Denmark and 114 in Germany where the 500 kW is the most sold Vestas model. The next most sold Vestas turbine in Germany is the V-27 275 kW with 94 in operation there.
