Finland's employment and economy ministry is commissioning a report to assess the "absolute potential" for developing onshore and offshore wind power in Finland. The appraisal project has been put out to tender with the ministry hoping contracts can be signed this month so the tender winner can get to work in August. It expects the final report to be published next year. The tender is being managed by state-funded energy research organisation Motiva, which also implements the Finnish government's plans on energy conservation and promotion of renewable energy.
