Over 38 MW of wind plant was installed in Denmark in the three months from April to June, an all time record for that time of year when less than 5 MW has been the normal pattern. Only once has more wind capacity been installed in three months -- 44.8 MW at the end of 1995. A total of 72 turbines were sold in spring and early summer, 63 of them to private individuals, five to owner co-operatives and four to utilities. The Danish market is now only second to that in Germany where 40.1 MW (75 turbines) were sold in the same period, reports the Danish industry.
