The six awards, for 1994, were announced in April by IREC at SOLTECH '95 in San Antonio, Texas. The Wisconsin Energy Bureau was recognised for a video on the role renewables are already playing in Wisconsin; The New York State Energy Office was recognised for its remote renewable energy systems grants programme; the Arizona Corporation Commission was recognised for its promotion of the use of renewables by utilities with integrated resource planning; and the Governors' Ethanol Coalition was recognised for its domestic renewable ethanol coalition, and the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy for a swine lagoon project.
