Schouw buys more Micon shares
1 September 1996
Well over half of wind turbine manufacturer Micon is now owned by Schouw & Co, a publicly traded Danish conglomerate with diverse interests from bread production to packaging. Schouw director Erling Lindahl reports that as well as increasing its holding in Micon from 32% to 54.9%, the conglomerate also has options to buy a "considerable portion" of the remaining shares from the current owners, Dansk Kapitalanlæg and Vestervangen Holding. Over the past two years -- the period in which Schouw has owned Micon -- its share price has risen from 240 to 420.
