World's largest wind firm ups 1999 projections

Denmark's Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world's largest wind turbine manufacturer, has upped its 1999 expectations for turnover by 50%. And when income is added from associated companies in Europe, Vestas expects a 60% rise in profits compared to 1998. In real terms, this means Vestas expects turnover this year of DKK 4.2 billion (EUR 565 million) and profits of DKK 400 million, compared with a 1998 turnover of DKK 2.8 billion and profits of DKK 188 million.
