1 July 2006
Denmark's LM Glasfiber has won a three year contract to supply blades for 1000 MW of Gamesa 2 MW turbines made in Spain and the US. LM is expanding its US facilities to meet the workload. Gamesa says it will install 2600 MW of machines by end-2008, adding to the 4600 MW delivered so far. The company also makes its own blades at several facilities in Spain and has just opened a factory in Pennsylvania with an annual capacity of 300 MW (page 29).
