Once again Windpower Monthly has used the opportunity of the summer season to publish its annual index of articles from the past 12 months. Thanks to our recent reader survey, we know that subscribers find this a useful service. The index comes in two parts: a section with abstracts of all the major news and feature articles, letters and leaders (editorials) published since last August; and a geographical listing of headlines from these articles and headlines from minor articles for which abstracts are not written. Such articles appear in the magazine's regular Wind Wire, WindTech Notes, and Windicator departments.
Next month Windpower Monthly will be back in its usual news-packed format. We'll be focusing on the UK prior to September's wind conference there, looking at the industry's huge problems with the British planning process and at wind economics in a country which leads the world in low prices. We'll also report on the typhoon devastation caused to wind farms in India, with details of which turbine makes suffered most.
