Last month Micon inaugurated its Braderup wind station consisting of 15 Micon 750 kW turbines, the high wind version of its 600 kW model. The project was installed in December 1995. Also last month construction began on two wind power plant made up of a total of ten Micon 500 kW units. The projects are being developed by the Hesse energy agency, hessenEnergie. In other Micon news, the Micon 1800-600/150 kW model, developed for lower wind speeds, received type certification shortly before the Hannover Trade Fair in April. The turbine will go into series production in August.
