Flender ATB Loher has signed a DEM 12 million contract with Tacke Windtechnik for the supply of "more than 225, 600 kW generators in 1996." ATB Loher, however, will not be supplying the generators for three 1.5 MW Tacke prototypes; this order went to AEG, though ATB Loher feels it could be considered as a supplier once the 1.5 MW reaches series production in 1997. Aside from Tacke, ATB Loher will also supply generators to three other wind turbine manufacturers building megawatt machines in Germany -- Nordex, Husumer Schiffswerft and Autoflug.

Correction: Flender ATB Loher is a subsidiary and not a sister company of Flender, as stated last month. Flender is a subsidiary of Deutsche Babcock.
