Made builds new factory in Spain
1 September 2002
Made Tecnologías has completed the construction of its new 3000 square metre wind turbine assembly facility in the Zuera district of Zaragoza province in Aragón, which will turn out about 130 MW of turbines a year. Initially the company will make its 800 kW variable pitch and 1320 kW fixed pitch models in Aragón, but it hopes to extend production to new machines under development. Older models will continue to be produced at Made's only other existing Spanish facility, situated in Medina de Campo, Castile and León. Made says it aims to consolidate its presence in Aragón, where its installed capacity is approaching 500 MW.
