Wind developer Fri-el Green Power, based in Bolzano, has filed for permission from the Italian stock exchange and market regulator Consob to launch an initial public offering on the Milan exchange. The company, which accounted for about 9.3% of Italian wind energy production at the end of 2006, has previously announced plans to list about 25% of its shares on the market. With the recent inauguration of its 36 MW wind farm in Campania, Fri-el now operates 10 wind plants in Italy with a combined capacity of 232.5 MW.
