A number of technical presentations at September's CanWEA conference examined the challenges surrounding the construction of the 100 MW Le Nordais wind farm and its connection to the Hydro-Quebec grid. Outgoing association president Jim Salmon, for one, couldn't have been happier. "I can't tell you how delighted I am to be listening to technical talks about real wind turbines that are in the ground producing real electricity in Canada," he told delegates while moderating one of the sessions.
