Development companies sign framework 290 MW contract with Vestas

Austrian wind development companies WEB Windenergie, ImWind and Windkraft Simonsfeld have signed a framework contract with Danish turbine manufacturer Vestas for 290 MW to be installed by the end of 2005. The contract is worth EUR 270 million and will cover some 20 projects. "Not all of these will actually get permits and be installed but as the contract is not for specific wind stations any that do not materialise can be replaced by alternative projects," says Rupert Steiner of WEB Windenergie in Heidenreichstein.
