Wind Turbine Performance Verification Programme

Selections will be made in July for the second phase of the $40 million Wind Turbine Performance Verification Programme, says Brian Smith of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The deadline for submissions was mid May. Four new host utilities are being sought. In the first phase, Central Maine Power (CMP), Green Mountain Power, and Central and Southwest Corp were chosen to host projects. CMP has since pulled out because of utility cut-backs (Windpower Monthly, February 1994).
