Canberra firm to market wind resource mapping tool

CSIRO, Australia's leading research agency, has commercialised its wind energy technologies, setting up WindLab Systems Pty in Canberra. The company is marketing a wind resource mapping tool capable of mapping areas of 100 square kilometres at a resolution of 100 metres. "WindLab Systems technologies improves the prospects for wind development in Australia, through faster identification of wind resource allowing more focused project development than current industry standards," says WindLab's Gareth Johnston.
