Projects granted funding under the most recent round of Swedish wind subsidies are now being installed. Four Enercon turbines from Germany have gone up on the south coast of Skåne for Slitevind; further inland two Vestas V29/225 have been erected outside the town of Kristianstad; on Öland the existing eight turbines in Grönhögen are being joined by two more; in nearby Degerhamn three WindWorld 250 kW units are going up on the harbour wall; on Gotland at least eight new turbines will be installed while Vindkompaniet is planning an offshore wind farm of five turbines, hopefully with funding from the European Union's Thermie programme. Two utilities are also increasing their wind capacity. Falkenberg Energi has added a 600 kW to its portfolio of five units and the utility in Lund has added a third to its production line.
