The replacement of one bolt with four has hopefully solved the problem which caused the failure of a four-poled tower on a Lagerwey 250 kW wind turbine in India. The only difficulty caused by this manufacturing change, says the firm, is the necessity to adjust the time schedule to allow for the extra work of fitting four instead of one bolt per connection.
