Co-operation contracts with China and India

Husumer Schiffswerft of Germany is preparing co-operation contracts with companies in both China and India for the construction of its 250 kW machine under licence. In China, 12, HSW 250 kW turbines are in operation, including four in Mongolia and four in Dalian and the intention is for a mechanical engineering company near Shanghai to build further machines. In India, HSW has already supplied two turbines, now operating, to TTG of Madras and TTG will initially build the 225 kW's generator and tower under licence and later the whole machine, if the deal goes ahead. The Indian business has been developed under Germany's El Dorado programme for introduction of wind energy in developing countries.
