New director at NEG Micon

With immediate effect, Ole Bøgelund Nielsen left his position as technical director at NEG Micon on September 30. The former president of wind turbine manufacturer Micon, he had held the position of technical director at NEG Micon since the company's fusion with Nordtank in the summer. Bøgelund Nielsen has also been replaced as head of the Danish Wind Turbine Manufacturer's Association by its former chairman, Bonus director Palle Nørgaard. NEG Micon is headed by Jens-Erik Kristensen (Windpower Monthly, June 1997), who joined the company as its new CEO. The former boss and co-owner of Nordtank, Vagn Trend Poulsen, remains a director of NEG Micon. The new company also announced it was offering shares in the company to employees corresponding to 10% of their annual salary at a special price. Fifty shares could be bought for DKK 150 per share. Additional shares could be bought for DKK 200 per share. The offer closed at the end of October.
