Italian debut for Gaia home wind power
1 June 2007
Coinciding with the opening of the European Wind Energy Conference 2007, exhibition newcomer Gaia-Wind announced the inauguration of its first wind turbine in Italy. Small wind turbine producer Gaia says its 11 kW machine was developed to "Danish design." The grid connected machine, located in Trento, includes a microprocessor-controlled operating system that allows its performance to be monitored online. Gaia-Wind's Johnnie Andringa says the company plans to incorporate online monitoring ability -- normally only associated with large wind turbines -- into all its new machines, allowing their owners to log in to Gaia's website and view the performance of their own wind turbine.
