On the policy front, this month promises to be a busy one for renewables in Europe. Three decisions on connecting strategy and market are awaited. In the utility sector, signatures are awaited on an international declaration for cross border trade of renewables (page 40). In the lobbying arena, a myriad of environmental organisations await the response of governments to the launch of the EC's "campaign for take-off" (page 43). And at government level, EU energy ministers meet on May 11 to consider the case for a pan-European renewables law (page 24).
