Bonus secures order with British developer Fred Olsen Renewables
British wind plant developer Fred Olsen Renewables has chosen Danish Bonus turbines for two wind farms at Moray in north-east Scotland. A contract is expected to be signed before the end of the year for up to 56 Bonus 2.3 MW turbines for the projects at Cairn Uish and Paul's Hill. Work is to begin in 2004, with the first turbine planned for delivery in the autumn. Completion is scheduled for the first half of 2005. Danish tower manufacturer DS SM A/S is to establish a manufacturing facility in Scotland under an agreement with Bonus, based on the Olsen contract. DS SM's Claus Bo Jørgensen says the new facility will create some 50 jobs. He expects to announce its location before the end of the year.
