Industry association still alive

Turbulence in the newly formed India wind turbine manufacturers association continues. It now seems that REPL (Bonus) and AMTL-Wind World have not withdrawn from the association as earlier reported (Windpower Monthly, October 1996). However, disquiet over the role played by the Indian end of German wind company Enercon in the association is still evident. It seems the association's logo bears a striking resemblance to that of Enercon -- and other members would like it exchanged to a logo more suitable for a "common platform."
