Gamesa enters overseas markets

Spain's Gamesa Eólica is inching its way into a series of overseas markets. Main export customers so far have been La Compagnie du Vent in France (10 MW) and Gansu Power Corp in China (7.2 MW). In Latin America it has a 660 kW machine up in Mexico, while 16 Gamesa 660 kW units are being installed in Argentina in a 10.56 MW wind farm for the Sociedad Cooperativa Popular Limitada de Comodoro Rivadavia in the province of Chubut. Gamesa has also signed a co-operation agreement with Greek renewables and gas plant developer Hellenic Energy and Development Co to develop, build and operate wind projects in Greece totalling 460 MW up to 2005.
