Wind turbine manufacturer DeWind and one of its stakeholders, electricity company MVV Energie, have founded a company to develop projects internationally. RED Project Management, officially set up in Frankfurt in January, will develop projects to the point of installation and then sell them to other developers, generally under the proviso that DeWind turbines are used, says DeWind's Hugo Schippmann. RED will not become involved in financing of the projects. "DeWind can happily finance projects up to about 50 MW. Beyond that, for the moment, is not our playing field," he says. MVV Energie holds a 25% stake in DeWind.
