Go-ahead for 9.1 MW Drumquin project in Northern Ireland

Consent has been granted for seven wind turbines totalling 9.1 MW at Lough Hill, Drumquin, in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The project developers, local company B9 Energy of Larne and Renewable Energy Systems (RES) of England, claim a high level of support among the local community. Despite being in planning for two years and eight months, only one person objected to the project, they say. They expect construction to begin in the summer.
