Victoria's Toora farm completion date with proposed 80 MW to follow

Construction of Stanwell's 22 MW Toora wind farm in Victoria's South Gippsland will be completed by July 2002. The company has two further projects planned -- the 50 MW Nirranda project, 20 kilometres from Warrnambool in south western Victoria, and the 30 MW Kongarong project, 30 kilometres south of Mount Gambier in South Australia. Planning applications have yet to be submitted for either project. A full environmental assessment is currently underway for the Nirranda project, while the feasibility study for Kongarong is yet to be completed.
