Developer Energiekontor signs turbine deal with Nordex

Wind developer Energiekontor has signed an agreement with Nordex for supply and installation of 120 wind turbines in the next two years. Energiekontor says that under the deal it can call up at least 60 wind turbines each year, "with a free choice of systems from one of the most remarkable product portfolios on the market." Nordex supplies machines ranging in size from 1.3 MW to 2.5 MW with different rotor diameters and hub heights and a choice of steel or lattice towers. Energiekontor expects to sign similar deals with other manufacturers shortly. "We shall remain faithful to our principle of being independent of manufacturers but nevertheless want to ensure that we have the greatest possible range of modern wind systems for our projects," says Dirk Gottschalk, managing director of Energiekontor Infrastruktur und Anlagen.
