1 May 2004
Spanish turbine builder Gamesa Eólica, currently being touted as a possible purchaser of German turbine company Nordex, has clocked up its first sales success in Germany. It will deliver 12, 850 kW machines to developer Sowitec Projekt for the Inneringen wind plant, to be completed in the autumn in the inland state of Baden-Württemberg. Gamesa will also install and commission the turbines for the EUR 7 million project. The contract with Sowitec follows Gamesa's acquisition in October of German developer EBV Management Holding, based in Oldenburg.
