A wind plant of 18, 250 kW turbines is being planned for Khabarovsk, north of Vladivostock, by a German timber company, Eltrade of Bergisch Gladbach. Funding has been applied for from Germany's Eldorado programme, which supports installation of wind projects in developing countries. The wind turbines are to be supplied by Nordex Balcke-Dürr which hopes its Eldorado application will soon be approved. If so, construction will start this year.
