Dong Energy builds 30 MW project in north-east Poland

Denmark's Dong Energy has decided to proceed with construction and operation of a 30 MW wind plant in north-east Poland known as Karnice I with a price tag of DKK 443 million (EUR 59.4 million). Commissioning is due in 2009. The new project follows construction of Dong's nearby 31 MW Lake Ostrowo wind station, which went online in 2007. "Poland is an interesting market offering attractive settlement terms," says Dong Energy CEO Anders Eldrup.
