As much as $3 million in co-funding is available through the California Energy Commission (CEC) for research, development and demonstration projects. It is the 11th year of the CEC's Energy Technologies Advancement Programme (ETAP). Up to $750,000 is available for each project in repayable research contracts and low-interest loans. Companies may submit pre-applications but a request for proposals will be issued by the commission. The programme, started in 1984, is to improve renewable technologies and energy efficiency.
