Renewables named key growth area in Asia-Pacific
1 August 2000
Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB), a global power engineering and management services company, has targeted renewable energy as one of the key growth areas in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently PB Power is continuing to increase its wind power expertise in Australia. Already it has been involved in key wind projects in Australia and New Zealand, providing services from site identification and resource analysis through to development of technical specifications and project implementation. "The recent acquisition of PPK Environment and Infrastructure, an Australian consulting engineering firm employing more than 400 professionals nationwide, will provide PB Power with ready access to key environmental engineering and planning skills," says the company's Rick Maddox, renewables manager for Australia. PB Power's wind group consists of nine full-time professionals in three offices in Australia and New Zealand.
