Construction work has begun on the largest wind station in the city-state of Hamburg. Six Micon 600 kW turbines are going in the ground in Hamburg-Francop for the local project planner and operating company, Peters und Trüshcel. The 3.6 MW of rated wind capacity is expected to generate round 4920 MWh a year, or roughly the annual consumption of 1500 households.
