Getting the rules right for wind

Electricity markets around the world are being freed from command and control supervision. Wind power stands to benefit from this opening up of the global power industry, but it needs to guard its interests with vigilance. Complex sets of rules and regulations to make markets good slaves, not poor masters, are now being laid, including mechanisms for matching supply and demand. If wind power is to retain its growth market, the industry must involve itself in the rule making process, before it is too late.
