Germany's Wind-Projekt Development takes over 130 turbines

Germany's Wind-Projekt Development AG (WPD) has taken over the commercial and technical management of 130 wind turbines. A mix of Nordex, Vestas, GE Wind and Enercon machines in Germany, they have a combined capacity of around 100 MW. WPD has also acquired part-ownership of some of the turbines and assumes the obligations of various long term service contracts. The 130 turbines were previously managed by EBV Management Holding, a German wind power specialist owned by Spain's Gamesa. EBV says that in future it wants to concentrate on managing Gamesa projects only. WPD now operates and part owns over 600 turbines. It wants to increase that to 1000 turbines within the next few years.
