There is much speculation on both sides of the Atlantic that the nuclear option might be re-activated. But there is little evidence that it is any real threat to wind on economic grounds: nuclear electricity price estimates (still hard to come by) put it way out of wind's league. Indeed wind's competitive position in the whole energy sector has never been better.
