Kyushu Electric Power Company contracts for 67 MW

Kyushu Electric Power Company, one of Japan's 11 utilities, has announced its wind power plans for the next four years. Contracts for new plant signed during the 2005 financial year totalled 66.6 MW across 11 sites. The utility plans to add a further 50 MW during the 2006 financial year and continue expanding at around the same rate annually to reach a its goal of 400 MW by the end of March 2010.
