Construction delay for White Hill wind farm

Construction on Meridian Energy's White Hill wind farm in Southland has been delayed until October while a number of contractual issues are settled. These relate to construction and ancillary services. The 58 MW wind farm is to consist of 29 Vestas 2 MW turbines; the resource consent is for up to 70 MW. These are expected to go on site early next year, with the first power being generated by June and full commissioning expected by the third quarter of 2006.
