Tinker Air Force Base is testing the device to reduce pollution under the encouragement of the 1992 Energy Policy Act, according to a report in the air base newspaper. Representatives from the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Gas & Electric and Pacific Batelle Northwest Laboratories helped research the project and are currently seeking battery storage for the system.
