Croatian company Censur Zrmanja and Austrian firm CE Energy Holding AG have agreed to jointly develop the 50 MW Jasenice wind farm, near Zadar in Croatia. The $53 million project will be built in five phases, with all 40 turbines expected to be installed by the end of 2008. The first phase, to be completed by July, comprises 12, Nordex 1.3 MW turbines from Germany. At present just 0.6% of Croatia's energy comes from renewable sources of energy. The government hopes to increase that to 5.8% by 2010.
